At the beginning of the New Year, I decided that my word for this year would be “commitment“. It’s not that, I haven’t committed to things in the past, I have! But, this year, I wanted to put a laser focus to my commitments and choose them wisely. I’m like many people; in the past, I’ve over-committed and drove myself and others crazy, trying to fulfilled them. This year, I want to change how I commit to people, causes, etc. I wanted to be present in them, and give them my full attention and integrity.
So hear we are, three months into the new year and I want to keep moving forward.
Keeping a gratitude journal, keeps me ever grateful and I’m finding that affirmations are a wonderful way to keep me focused and moving forward.
I found this wonderful author, Heather McCloskey Beck, who has written the “Commitment Series.” So on this first day of Spring, I am recommitting to my New Year’s word, “Commitment”
“Commitment Series“, the book will be published in the spring of 2014. You can preview a part of this wonderful series at: https://www.facebook.com/
There are (31) days in Heather McCloskey Beck, Commitment Series on her Facebook Page, so go and check it out, maybe you’ll feel like making a commitment to yourself, for yourself.
I’m committed to this life, the only life that I know of, are you?
How do you stay focused on your commitments? I’d love to read your comments!
In peace, to you and yours.

My word is Enjoy. I needed to be reminded of the commitment I made to myself. Blessings, dear!

Bella Tam, thanks for stopping by! I think everyone needs a reminder for our commitment to ourselves. I'm not sure why we don't give ourselves the same commitment we give to others. Enjoy is a wonderful word for the year and so you! 🙂

Colleen, that's a great word! Trusting ourselves is one of the foundation, we need to do anything in our creative life. Hmm…I'm really loving that as a focus! I received the "words"! They look great. I'll email you. I'm so happy to have them. 🙂
