This is a mixed media piece on a 4″ x 4″ wood block. The pieces in the Love Yourself Series were created from the inspiration taken from the quote: “If you get the inside right, the outside will fall into place.” – Eckhart Tolle
With so much emphasis placed on couples and having a significant other, I wanted to create art with an emphasis on love…loving yourself…loving your life. You don’t need a special day to celebrate you.
The wood is layered with handmade and vintage papers, acrylic paint, bottle caps, metal souvenir spoon, metal key, faux jewel, wooden ring, paper flowers, photo, plastic disk, resin. The piece is varnished for protection, signed and dated on the back. The quote reads: “To love oneself is the beginning of a lifelong romance.” – Oscar Wilde
