This painting was created as part of my Winter Series.
Winter is often seen as a barren and desolate time. For many it brings darkness and melancholy. I wanted to create this series to bring light into this time, for me and others. Creating this series was my way of meditation on winter. It also was a way for me to experiment with encaustics, which really added to this series. I hope this piece brings as much light to you as it has to me.
This mixed-media original painting is a 12 x 12 x 1.5 inch birch wood panel. This painting was created with layers of acrylic paints, vintage paper, encaustic paints, mica, vintage handwritten letters, plaster, hemp cloth, pen and ink.
This painting can easily hang on the wall with a nail, an easel or mounting with wire and would look fabulous in any room in your home or office. This painting comes with a Certificate of Authenticity.
