All of the details...

ALA, also spelled ALE, ALLA also known as ANE, is a goddess of the Igbo tribe of Nigeria. She is the goddess of fertility, justice, hope and the underworld, and it was believed the souls of the dead rested in her sacred womb.

Ala’s symbol is the crescent moon. She is still worshipped by the Igbo today, who pay tribute to her each year during the Yam festival. This is my visual representation of this deity.

This is an 8″ x 10″ (on 8.5 x 11 inch paper) print of my original painting. This print is matted and ready to be framed. The original piece is a 24″ x 18″ mixed media painting on rag cotton illustration board.

The watermark will not be on your print.

Please Note: Print is shipped in a clear sealed envelope. Please note that the clear sleeves are not intended for long-term storage. Their purpose is to merely keep your print looking beautiful until it gets to you.
