I’ve modified the color for the line drawing of last week’s prompt, “Idle.”
I’m happy that it only took me a couple of days! With my schedule, I need to modify, to enjoy the worthwhile things in life!
Please let me know which you like better, the line drawing (posted below this post) or mixed media color (this post)!
Happy Week!

I like them both!!! The coloured one has a different kind of charm to it. I could see this in a children’s book, and I love his flower hat/cap……hmmmm….I think I’ll go for the coloured version…..but I do like the black and white one too…….hehehe can’t decide!!!

I think I like the black and white one better. They’re both sweet, but the plain one is simpler, more unified.

Hi Indigene, Thanks for the nice comment on my blog! I like both. The line work is nice because you can admire it’s simplicity. But it’s also nice when added color to a piece…. it brings it to life. 🙂

I can’t decide which one I like more, since they are both great. I love looking at line art in general, since you can see details like the darkness and thickness of the lines, but colored art is interesting too, especially for light, shadows, and coloring technique. If I was forced to pick one though, like if my life depended on it, I’d go with the colored piece. Mainly for the cool bath hat and the light from the candles. I love how you have a book on the floor next to the tub; it creates a nice, relaxing atmosphere. 🙂
Thanks for stopping by my blog!

I’m terrible at decisions but I like them both. I often do black & white drawings & colour them in another time and I usually like the coloured ones best. By the way thanks for comments about my offerings.

On one, the colours are so lively and happy and I think that surely this one must be a fave! But then I do like linedrawings… So I go back to check again… and forth… 😉 sorry, but even though they’re exactly the same draing, they communicate such different things. I jsut couldn’t possibly chosoe without putting them in a specific context. Either way – lovely!: 🙂

Great minds think alike! 🙂
I like them both too, but I think the line drawing is my favorite. The color piece is lively and fun, but as you know I love the look of a simple, clean line.

I like them both! I love the simplicity of the line drawing, but then I’m a bit ‘line biased’. : )
Boy oh boy wouldn’t I love to be in his furry shoes, a hot soaky bath sounds devine to me.

Although I love line drawings, I like the color version best. Your illustration brings back memories for me. As a teen ager, I spent a lot of time in the bath tub. No time for that now!
