Midsummer Nights of Mind Body & Spirit

June 26, 2011

I am in the middle of a summer night’s dream, of the mind, body and spirit. I am trying to wrap my mind around the concept of the spirit leaving the body.

It’s not something that I can articulate well at this point, and maybe I never will.

(“Mind Body & Spirit” – Mixed Media/Paper)

My sweet little sister, Renee is in hospice, that is really all I can say now. My dreams are filled with surrender, an outpouring of love and a deep hole of sadness. So on these midsummer nights, I try to understand, believe and sustain faith. May the God you believe in, give you the peace of mind, that can surround the body, so that the soul may be released. Blessings to you and yours.

I like it. It's a difficult concept you're working with. I'm really sorry to hear about your sister. Life, the older we get seems, sometimes, to have so many more goodbyes than hellos.
    Peace,
    Fraser

Hello Dear Heart! I just read your Midsummer's Night's Mind, Body, and Soul. I am so sorry to hear about your sister being in Hospice. I know the sadness that you feel. I am well aquatinted with it. It's never easy. You have said well that your,"Dreams are filled with surrender, and outpouring of love and a deep hole of sadness." Keep holding on to your faith Darling. It will sustain you even at this difficult time in Renee and your life.
I stand in faith with you. God is still in control and He knows the plans He has for you sisters. Sending you as much love and peace and wisdom that your soul can hold today. You are in good hands. The piece is beautiful and speaks volumes. Great job.
    Hugs
    V

You have had a rough year, haven't you? My heart goes out to you. I love the way this piece has very separated elements. It has a 'naive' feel in execution/composition which is perfect. (My recent painting of an eagle is about this very same thing.) xo

I am so sorry to hear about your sister. We all have to suffer loss and grief, and the only thing I know to say is that it sucks and I care. Prayers for you and yours. I think your painting says a lot though. Finding peace and acceptance, and letting her move on to the next great adventure. Lots of hugs!

Dear Indigene, I'm here late, as usual. I'll keep sweet Renee in my prayers. I do hope for the best outcome for all involved. If I knew more I would choose my words more carefully, but I do know that I wish her peace, and you as well.
